Kentucky State Parks 5K Race Series

The 3rd Annual Kentucky State Park Race Series will start February 24th with the Goose Creek 5K at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville.
The Goose Creek 5K is the first of five state park races scheduled for 2007. Runners of all ages can take part in all five races to capture the overall championship based on a point system. The other dates and races are:
Each race has a pre-registration fee of $15 and a race day fee of $20. But for $65 paid by Feb. 24, runners can sign up for all five races. Registration for individual races is through each individual park. To register for all five races, runners should get a form and send it to: Kentucky State Parks Race Series, 500 Mero Street, 11 th floor, Capital Plaza Tower, Frankfort, KY 40601.
Awards will be given to the overall male and female winner of each race and first and second place winners in each male and female age division. The grand prize winners, who must compete in all five races, will be named at the July 14 Magnolia 5K at Rough River. All of those who run all five races will receive a certificate and be registered for a special giveaway prize.

Goose Creek , Irish Classic , Spring Classic , Barren River Lake 5k, Possum Ridge 5k, Rough River 5k and Series Cumulative Points.
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Levels of Sponsorship
Platinum: $1,500: Logo on all printed materials (including race brochure that is distributed to an estimated 4,000 people in Kentucky and surrounding states. Logo will be placed on event merchandise (i.e. T-shirts, flyers, etc). The name of the event will read KENTUCKY STATE PARK RACE SERIES (INDIVIDUAL RACE OR ENTIRE SERIES) sponsored by “YOUR COMPANY.” Your organization will also be entitled to all benefits of the lower levels.
A member of your organization will have the honor of starting the race or event if you so choose.
**This level is not available for the 2007 Race Series, but will be available for 2008.
Gold: $500-$1000: Logo on all printed materials including T-Shirts but does not include distributed race brochure. Your organization will also be permitted to fill runners packets with flyers, coupons and information about your organization and/or set-up a booth at the event to promote your business. Your organization will also be entitled to all benefits of the lower levels.
Silver: $100-$500: Logo on T-Shirts and on the event sponsorship banner and your organization will also be permitted to fill runners packets with flyers, coupons and information about your organization.
Friends of the Event: Any type of door prizes such as coupons, hotel stays, dinners, gift certificates, candy, water, Gatorade, fruit or any materials needed to help put on the event or give comfort to the participants and their families are welcome. Your company will be recognized during the event or at the race awards ceremony.
