Kentucky’s famous cave area, which includes Mammoth Cave National Park,
the longest cave system in the world!
The course at Barren River Lake State Resort Park offers a
challenging test of golf in a relaxing setting. The course winds around
hills and through valleys near the shore of Barren River lake.
The
layout will test your course management skills. Accurate shots to well
chosen positions are a must. This is a course that you can't play just
once. But when you've finished #18, enjoy a fine dinner at the lodge,
and partake in the many other amenities of the park.
Meet the Pro
Carmello Benassi, Jr. has worked at the Barren River Lake State Park Golf Course since May 2010.
Carmello received the 2013 Merchandiser of the Year award presented by the Kentucky section of the Professional Golf Association. He has also been recognized for his skills in merchandising techniques, training, displays, inventory mix and shop operationsin previous years as well.
Benassi has been a PGA professional for over 20 years. He has previously received PGA honors such as the National Growth of Game award 2004, Kentucky Teacher of the Year 2005, Kentucky Merchandiser of the Year (Public) 2006 and Kentucky Golf Professional of the Year in 2009. He played on the Western Kentucky University Golf team from 1974-1978.

Dress Code
Men are required to wear shirts with collars and sleeves (mock turtlenecks are accepted...assuming they have sleeves). Ladies: sleeveless golfing attire for ladies is permitted due to the design of ladies golf wear. Ladies may not wear halter tops or spaghetti straps. The following pertains to all golfers: No cut off shorts of any type and no swimwear.
