THE WHOLE TOWN’S TALKING is set in the 1920s and features all the flare and glamour thereof. It focuses on the Simmons family and in particular, Mr. Simmons’ dislike of his daughter Ethel’s college boyfriend. To solve the problem, Simmons tries to fix her up with his own business partner, Chester Binney, but this is no easy task as Chester is rude, dull, and terribly ill-mannered. Simmons, a shrewd business man, decides to make Chet seem very worldly by fabricating a number of one night stands and sultry relationships in the form of post-card, love letters. However, the postcard with current movie star Lettie Lythe on the front and love note on the back gets the whole town talking. The plot thickens as Lettie comes to town at the request of the local movie theatre and discovers the rumors. She sets out to promote her new film and clear her name in the process. To make matters worse, Lettie’s real love interest, who just happens to be a boxer, joins her and sets out to find Chet and shut him up for good. On top of all that, Mrs. Simmons begins suspecting Mr. Simmons of an affair after a taxi driver brings a lady’s hand bag to the house and says that the woman riding with Simmons left it in the back seat the night before. Chester and Simmons practically run themselves into knots trying to keep all the stories straight and find a way to stop the madness before it all comes out in the open. A comedy in two acts, The Whole Town’s Talking is a treat for audiences of all ages. It’s funny, fast-paced, and a marvelous play with all the glitz and glory of a full-scale musical. After seeing this production, you will surely be laughing and talking!

BYE BYE BIRDIE tells the story of a rock and roll singer, Conrad Birdie, an Elvis Presley type, who’s been drafted into the army. Albert Peterson, his agent, is a very pleasant mild mannered young man whose faithful secretary, Rose Alvarez, keeps him and Birdie both moving forward in the world. It’s Rosie who concocts one final, national publicity spectacle before Conrad's induction. Conrad will bid a typical American teen-age girl goodbye with an all-American kiss. Kim MacAfee from Sweet Apple, Ohio wins the honor. The arrival of Birdie in Sweet Apple causes people of all ages to swoon. It is decided that Birdie will give his One Last Kiss on the Ed Sullivan show. Kim's father, who laments the whole uproar, tries to break into the act and behaves like a ham on the TV show. Birdie becomes disgusted with his life and goes out on the town with the teenagers. He feels tense with Albert and is tired of being supervised. Rosie, still waiting for that band of gold from Albert after eight years, decides to become the Latin American spitfire that she is painted as, by Albert's lead-footed catastrophe-ridden mother. She is determined to become Spanish Rose. BYE BYE BIRDIE is a satire done with the fondest affection. It gives an insight into the everyday life that is very much part of us all. It is the tops in imagination and frivolity! “Birdie” is a show that will be enjoyed by all audiences.
