Eagle Watch Weekend
1/18 - 1/19 , 1/25 - 1/26 and 2/15 - 2/16

Looking for an unforgetable encounter with nature? Why not visit us for an oppurtunity to view America’s national symbol, the Bald Eagle, in its natural habitat? Our Eagle Weekends are devoted to the observation, education, and conservation of our national symbol.


We will be working with the KY Dept. of Fish & Wildlife and Trooper Island to provide you with a weekend you won't soon forget. Each weekend, we will offer guided boat tours on Dale Hollow Lake to view these majestic birds in the wild and educational programs one of which is a live birds of prey program. Try our Eagle Package for $311.14, which includes Friday and Saturday night lodging for two, two dinners, one lunch, two breakfasts, one boat tour (am or pm) for two, and all programs.

Valentines Mystery Dinner Theater

Do you and your special someone want to enjoy a night of mystery? We want to invite you to "The St. Valentines Day Massacre" Mystery Dinner Theater. Enjoy dinner as you participate in an interactive show were you become part of the play and help solve the mystery. This is an opportunity to meet new people as you solve the case, but enables even the shyest of detectives to solve the crime with a careful ear.

Each person will receive a case book, which includes the plot, characters, game explanation and rules, a clue, and motive worksheets. For those who really want to add to the spirit of the game, gangster or 1920's themed costumes are encouraged. Did we mention the one who solves the murder wins $100 cash and one free nights lodging for two at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park lodge!!! This will be an evening to die for!

After solving the case sit back and relax as you laugh the night away at a MAGIC SHOW. David Cottrell will be performing a magic show that has comedy and music mixed in.

Easter Egg Hunt

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hoppin down the Dale Hollow Trail. Hippity Hoppity your way here and help us find all the eggs that clever bunny has hidden for you in the campground. The age categories will be 2 & under, 3-5, 6-8, 9-11with a prize egg in each category. The hunt begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. Central time. In case of rain, the hunt will be rescheduled for Sunday, March 23rd at 2 p.m.

Road Rally

Enjoy a relaxing drive along some of the most beautiful countryside. The object of the rally is to enjoy the drive while trying to find scavenger hunt items and make some new friends along the way. Each vehicle will receive a "Rally Packet" which includes directions, scavenger hunt list, and tour questions. Each item is worth points which will be scored at the end of the rally for prizes. 3rd Annual Geocache Weekend

Celebrate Earth Day Weekend at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park and Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park during our 3rd Annual Geocache Weekend. The event will be held at both parks starting at Lake Cumberland S.R.P. on Friday and Saturday, and ending on Sunday at Dale Hollow Lake S.R.P. This event is designed for the beginning cachers to the experienced veterans. Please bring your own GPS. $20.00 per couple ( additional children $10), $10 per individual. Campers Appreciation Weekend

Kids Fishing Derby

Bring your kids to introduce them to the recreational sport of fishing. Your child will learn how to bait a hook, cast a line, and what a thrill it is to experience the feel of a tight fishing line first-hand. There will also be a casting contest and door prizes given during the event. Please bring your own fishing pole and bait, as our supplies are limited. Meet at the top marina parking lot from 9-11 a.m. Central time.

Fourth of July Celebration

Show off your red, white, and blue as you celebrate the Fourth of July with some all American activities. Enjoy a weekend filled with games, crafts, and special entertainment.

Luau Party

Come and participate in our Luau-themed activites throughout the day and top the day off with a Luau dinner including a roasted pig. End the night dancing your hula skirt off to some tunes by a live band from 8:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. Central time.

Dale Hollow 5-K Classic
8/9/2008

Run in some of the most beautiful country on some challenging hilly terrain. Afterwards, catch your breath and brag about your time while you enjoy refreshments and door prize giveaways. This 5K run is the first race in a five part Kentucky State Park Race Series. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the race begins at 9:30 a.m. in front of the resort lodge. Get Outdoors & Volunteer

Volunteer to help keep public lands clean on National Public Lands Day. Help us by hiking along part of our 15 miles of trails and picking up trash. Enjoy educational programs after the long, hard days work.

13th Annual Horseman's Reunion

Saddle up and ride over to the campground for a stompin' good time. We will have guided trail rides Saturday at 10 a.m. with some beautiful scenery. After a day of riding, sit back and relax while you enjoy a bean and cornbread dinner. Sunday is ride the trails on your own day.

Haunted Hollow Hotel

Bring your little spook to the Haunted Hollow for a fright night of festivites. Pick the category where you will frighten the audience in your scariest outfit at our costume contest. Not up to frightening anyone, then get frightend on our hayride through the park by ghouls who hide in the woods. Don't forget to try our monsterous buffett.

Beginners Caving Expedition

If you would like to learn more about the recreational sport of caving, then make plans to attend our first Begginers Caving Expedition. We will offer educational programs about caves and the recreational sport of caving, go hiking to learn about the geography of the area, and take you on guided tours through a cave.

Holiday Open House
