Every year Kentucky offers free fishing days the first weekend in June. No license is required for residents or non-residents to fish in any Kentucky waters, but all fishing regulations remain in effect. Annual Battle Reenactment Celebration 2009

Blue Licks Battlefield pays tribute to the brave pioneers who fought and died at the Battle of Blue Licks August 19, 1782 during this weekend of special programs and demonstrations. A craft area features local crafters, artisans and vendors along with special music and a battle re-enactment at 3:00 p.m. on each day. Stroll through the pioneer encampment and see how pioneers lived over 200 years ago. Special museum programs featuring hands on demonstrations. This year marks the 227th anniversary of the battle.

Scarecrows in the Park

This event encourages families, schools, businesses, and various other groups and organizations to apply their imaginations to the task of designing and building scarecrow displays for all to enjoy! The scarecrows, along with laminated signs advertising the names & builders of the figures, will be placed along the paved drive leading to & from the Worthington Lodge. There is a $20 fee per scarecrow display for families, schools, and youth groups. The fee for businesses & corporations is $40 per display. Half of all display fees will be donated to charity through the Kentucky Employees Charitable Contributions Campaign. Registration deadline is September 25, 2009. Your display must be in place by October 1, 2009. All entries will be judged on October 2nd and the builders of the winning scarecrow will receive a $75 Kentucky State Park Gift Card. Tractor Parade through the Park

Each year there is a three day tractor show at Allison's Concrete (located approx. 2 miles from the park on Hwy 68). On Saturday of the event, participants make a trek through the park to show off their machines to our campground and park visitors.
