The property was once the farm of Willis B. Machen, grandfather of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald. It’s not hard to imagine the serene, Gatsby-style era from this park, with idyllic days of playing golf and cruising the lake.
This is a challenging 18 hole golf course. The front 9 holes are situated in a wooded area and many of the back 9 holes are flanked by lake views. A pro shop offers rental carts, clubs and golf merchandise. Open year round, weather permitting.
