Waveland State Historic Site The Bryan family accompanied Daniel Boone through the Cumberland Gap to the Bluegrass Region, and established Bryan's Station in 1779--one of Kentucky's first settlements.

Group Field Trips

Waveland State Historic Site offers tours of the mansion, and programs about antebellum life on a Kentucky plantation during the 1840s and 1850s for grades K-12. Waveland is open year round, and classes may visit weekdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Fees are $3 per student. Call park manager Ron Bryant at 859-272-3611. (Note: Waveland is closed on Mondays between December and March.)
