Group Field Trips
Perryville is the site of the bloodiest Civil War battle on Kentucky soil. More than 7,000 soldiers were killed, wounded or missing. The park offers an award-winning educational program called the School of the Soldier program. Elementary school students can learn what it was like to serve as a soldier who fought in 1862 at Perryville. It lasts 4 hours and costs $4 per student.
The park has Civil War monuments, picnic areas, a playground, small museum and gift shop. For more information, call Joni House at 859-332-8631.
